YouTube se pregateste de atacul lui Hulu.com
Hulu este un website de video streaming, asemănător ca idee cu faimosul YouTube. YouTube este de catva timp o marca Google.
Programul de streaming TV Hulu.com a fost realizat în colaborare de către grupurile media NBC Universal şi News Corp. şi va fi gazda unei game variate de programe TV difuzate online. Site-ul a fost lansat deocamdata în variantă de test şi va fi lansat în variantă completă peste alte câteva luni.

Gurile rele spun că Hulu va fi un eşec din câteva motive simple: numele este hilar, are prea puţine showuri şi nu poţi face aproape nimic altceva pe site în afară de văzut videoclipuri.
Hulu are avantajul că a bifat toate căsuţele în agenda fanilor emisiunilor TV : website-ul va difuza videoclipuri la o calitate mare şi gratuit.
Diferenţa dintre Hulu şi YouTube este aceea că primul va difuza seriale întregi, la o calitate mare şi în mod legal pe când YouTube este specializat în difuzarea de filmuleţe scurte, la o calitate îndoielnică, de multe ori fiind „home made” sau fragmente din seriale TV difuzate ilegal.

The partnership was announced in March 2007 and the name “Hulu” was chosen in late August, when the website went live.The service offers full-length episodes of NBC and FOX television programs, including shows from the Bravo, Fuel TV, FX, Sci Fi, Style, Sundance, and Oxygen channels. Hulu also offers selected movies.
