Sarah Palin was the second female candidate and the first Alaskan candidate of either major party, as well as the first female vice-presidential nominee of the Republican Party.
Of course the two most influential women in President George W. Bush’s White House first lady Laura Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are strongly defending the president’s legacy against critics who are calling his administration one of the worst in history.

Barack Obama Hussein doesn’t want to be associated with Mubarak Hosni
Barack Hussein Obama, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama,Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from Wichita Kansas. Obama’s parents met at the University of Hawaii.
Since it is politacally expected to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office int he United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.
Obama mentioned some Middle Eastern countries in his speeches and Egypt was not among them , he visited also several Middle Eastern countries including Israel but he did not visit Egypt.
I read that Obama did not want to be associated with dictator rulers like Mubarak, it is better to meet king Abdullah of Jordan than to meet Mubarak.
Muhammad Hosni Mubarak, born 4 May 1928, has been the president of Egypt since 14 October 1981.
With the elections in 1999, a growing force of intellectual voted against him, as a protest against the outcome of his politics, with significant unemployment and corruption and closer ties with Israel.
Mubarak is usually considered as an ally to the United States.
During the early 2000s Mubarak continued his policies of suppressing radical Islamists and permitting only weak opposition from other political parties. Mubarak was quick to condemn the September 11 attacks on the United States, and in the wake of those attacks reaffirmed the importance of his crackdown on Islamic fundamentalists.
President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, whose country is a key US ally in the region, said on Wednesday he hoped American president-elect Barack Obama would work towards peace in the Middle East.
Mubarak sent a telegram to congratulate Obama on his victory in the US presidential elections, the official MENA news agency reported, in which he expressed hope Obama would work towards peace and stability in the Middle East.
