Microsoft nu a ajuns la nicio intelegere cu Yahoo!

Reuters, care citeaza surse apropiate, anunta ca Microsoft a renuntat la oferta si l-a anuntat pe Jerry Yang, printr-o scrisoare, de aceasta decizie. Cei 37 de dolari pentru o actiune Yahoo, ceruti de Yang, au fost mult prea multi decat a dorit Ballmer sa ofere, adica 33 de dolari.

SAN FRANCISCO, May 3 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp has withdrawn its offer for Yahoo Inc and does not plan to go hostile, a person familiar with Microsoft’s thinking said on Saturday.
Microsoft raised its offer by $5 billion to $33 a share, but Yahoo wanted $37 a share, this person said.
Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer has sent a letter to Yahoo Chief Executive Jerry Yang withdrawing the offer, the person said.
